October 27, 2006 - 20 Parker School students pitch in to work on the trail for Make a Difference Day!
We walked the full length of the current trail, from the Agricultural Research Station to the eastern end of the Magoon parcel. Using rakes, shovels, loppers and a pickaxe, the student cleared and widened the trail from the Nature Park entrance eastwards.
A few of the students had participated in 2005, but for many of them it was the first time they learned Waimea has a Trail! There was a lot of enthusiasm for the Trail, in fact when work was over, the students declared they would take the Trail back to Parker School instead of walking along the roads.
